an introduction to mitsuro hikime – a traditional japanese wax technique known for its soft, flowing lines and unique textures.
in this one-day workshop, you’ll learn how to work with this special wax blend by warming, stretching, and twisting it with your hands. the process is tactile, slow and beautifully intuitive – and results in forms that are organic, elegant, and one of a kind.
you’ll create one or two small wax pieces (such as a ring or pendant), which we’ll cast in 925 silver and finish for you. your final piece will be ready for pick-up in a few weeks.
